Are you allowed to sleep at DIKU? Where are the most comforting spots for my power nap?

The cantina is often a bit too noisy, so other places than the sofas in the lounge area.

To your first question, the answer is technically no. We are not allowed to sleep over night at DIKU. You can stay up the entire night, but if a guard catches you, you will be removed from the premise. Although, there won't be any further consequences than that. Moreover, the changes of running into a guard are rather slim. I have heard they are there from time to time, but I have never seen them myself.

Your largest problem is going to be the clean up crew.

I unfortunately have no answers on where to sleep.

Indeed. Remember, you are "powernapping". And of course, if the cleaning ladies disturb your meditation, do not get angry or annoyed. Be courteous, even if you were having a nice dream, er, thought.

When I "powernap" I am partial to the old project laboratory beneath Little UP-1. Mattresses and the like can usually be acquired somewhere on DIKU. During the summer months, "powernapping" on the roof the southern wing, just outside the Penthouse offices, is also very pleasant, if you have a sleeping bag.

I actually think that is one of the few places on DIKU that I have never been at! I have probably walked past it a gazillion times, but I don't think I have ever been in there.

The penthouse has an old but sturdy sofa. However, the shack^H^H^H^H^Hpenthouse on top of DIKU does little to preserve heat so it might get cold at night.

On the plus side it is in fact a sofa bed, it even has a something that appears to be a bed sheet and/or blanket in a rather large storage compartment.

PS: The door to the penthouse is locked and requires a key. Ask a question on when you are eligible for such a key and how to get it ;)
