How does one gain access to one's <...>@diku.dk mail address?

Is it possible to get it forwarded elsewhere?

Yes, you can put the forward-address in ~/.forward in your DIKU home folder.

Like so:

echo "email@host.tld" > ~/.forward

You can also log in over ssh (or via a physical terminal) on and open your mail user agent of choice - for instance, you may use mutt or pine/alpine, both of which can be used on the command line.

or set up thunderbird or other client with

IMAP server: imap.diku.dk
IMAP port: 993
SSL enabled

SMTP server: imap.diku.dk
SMTP port: 465
SSL enabled
